Guten Tag, Herr Dokrtor Schulz,

It's rather hard to believe that I've been a Knox physics alum for 5 years now.  It's been an eventful time to be sure.  What's harder to believe is that I'm defending my thesis most likely in October and hunting for CERN postdoc positions now.  The good news is that the schedule I'm planning lets me come back for homecoming, so if all goes well I'll drop by the department in a few months.

Also, I've got my first paper out.  This one's my baby (with apologies for the horribly long URL): http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6TVC-4NXHC95-2&_user=10&_coverDate=06%2F08%2F2007&_rdoc=1&_fmt=&_orig=search&_sort=d&view=c&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=10&md5=397b5554beb12871ead7a4a1ea4b9593

Other than that, it's been a great time here in Hamburg and at UW in general.  It's a shame, in a way, that HERA and its experiments have finished.  I would have liked to spend a few more years in Hamburg before thinking about Geneva.

Best Regards, and say hi to Prof. Moses for me,

Tom
